According to the Gartner, Inc. Digital Worker Experience Survey, nearly 80% of workers will use collaboration tools for work in 2021, up from just over half in 2019. This represents a 44% increase since the pandemic began. During COVID-19, collaboration tools gained fresh attention for their role in supporting the productivity of geographically dispersed teams. However, as the pandemic progressed and organizations adjusted to the 'new normal,' advancements in technology or the way you use technology may have stagnated. The good news is that your organization can continue to improve on the investments you made at the start of the pandemic to generate higher dividends.

In today's landscape, ensuring that your organization is getting the most out of your existing productivity tools is essential for supporting high-achieving teams and getting the highest ROI from your technology investments. Consider the following questions:

  • Do your productivity tools make you more efficient and/or effective?
  • Is your organization maximizing your productivity tools to their fullest potential (beyond meetings and chat)?  
  • Does your organization integrate your existing productivity tools with Zoom or Microsoft Teams?
  • Is collaboration taking place in a rich and integrative capacity in your organization? 
  • Can your team easily find and access shared files and documents and work collaboratively, in real-time?
