Full-Day Azure Immersion Workshop: Azure Virtual Desktop

When: 9AM-5PM EST, March 1, 2021
Recommended Audience:  IT Professionals (Software Developers, Systems Engineers, Systems Integrators)

The Azure Immersion Workshop for Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) is a 1-day hands-on workshop for IT Professionals (TDM, IT Implementers). This workshop provides participants with both the knowledge and skills to accelerate designing and implementing a virtual desktop infrastructure on Azure.

The workshop covers product overview, design and architecture, best practices, deployment and management plane options, user profiles and data storage, along with third party tools and licensing considerations.

Hands-on labs enable participants to create their first Azure Virtual Desktop architecture, create Active Directory groups, assign users, create a master image, connect to a virtual desktop, then delve into operationalizing the virtual desktop infrastructure with monitoring, scaling, and image management.

In this workshop for IT Professionals, you'll better understand:

- Best practices around Azure Virtual Desktop architecture.
- The differences between pooled or single VM host choices.
- The Management Control planes that are available with AVD.
- Security considerations.
- How to operationalize your Virtual Desktop infrastructure through image management and scaling.
