ProServeIT is a multi-award winning Microsoft Cloud Solutions Partner based in Canada, dedicated to helping organizations unlock their digital futures and turn technology into a business enabler. ProServeIT and Microsoft decided to come together for a common goal: to raise funds for ovarian cancer research and battle it out on the ice.
The charity hockey game aimed to support the community by raising funds for ovarian cancer research. Both ProServeIT and Microsoft recognized the significance of giving back and eagerly embraced the opportunity to contribute. The funds raised from this exhilarating sporting event would directly benefit the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, one of the top 5 cancer research centres in the world. Ovarian cancer is the seventh most common cancer in Canada; one in sixty-eight women can expect to be diagnosed with it. ProServeIT has long been a supporter of the research and continues to do so through events like this.
ProServeIT's offensive pressure proved to be the difference-maker, as they wove through Microsoft's defense and found the back of the net multiple times. Their coordinated passing and accurate shooting kept Microsoft's goaltender on high alert throughout the game. Microsoft, however, showcased remarkable resilience, mounting numerous counterattacks and managing to score five goals of their own, keeping the outcome uncertain until the very end.
In a close contest, ProServeIT emerged as the winning team, outscoring Microsoft by a margin of 8 goals to 5. The victory was a testament to their preparation, teamwork, and exceptional skills on the ice. Their relentless pursuit of scoring opportunities, combined with solid defensive play, helped them secure a well-deserved win. The charity hockey game managed to raise significant funds, far surpassing expectations, helping the hospital to detect cancers earlier, find new and less invasive treatments, and improve the overall quality of life for anyone living with cancer.
